Dry Needling Therapy

Dry needling therapy is a treatment method for alleviating pain and discomfort associated with a broad range of conditions. Small needles are used to reduce inflammation, relieve tightness, and provide pain relief. Dry needling therapy helps restore function, increase range of motion, and decrease scar tissue in the affected area.

The needles used for dry needling therapy are extremely small and the majority of patients don’t experience any discomfort during treatment. However, depending on how sensitive the area being treated is, some patients might experience mild discomfort. In the rare instance that a patient finds dry needling therapy to be too uncomfortable, the doctor will stop and not continue treatment.

Most patients benefit from several treatment sessions. On average, it takes about 3-5 dry needling therapy sessions for patients to experience noticeable relief from pain, discomfort, and other symptoms. After 3-5 treatment sessions, pain diminishes and movement and range of motion improves.
